Be Grateful

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Don't go for looks, they can deceive. Don't go for wealth, even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trails to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to bring you joy.

Always put yourself in another shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't get on well in life until you let go of the past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Never Lose Hope

If you can look at the sunset and smile,
then you still have hope.

If you can see the good in other people,
then you still have hope.

If the sight of the rainbow still makes you stop and stare in wonder,
then you still have hope.

If you meet new people with a trace of excitement and optimism,
then you still have hope.

If you give people the benefit of the doubt,
then you still have hope.

If you still offer your hand for friendship to others that have touched your life,
then you still have hope.

If you look forward to a time or place of quiet and reflection,
then you still have hope.

If you can look to the past and smile,
then you still have hope.

HOPE is such a marvelous thing,
It bends, it twists, it sometimes hides,
but rarely does it break.

It sustains us when nothing else can.
It gives us reason to continue and courage to move ahead,
when we tell ourselves we'd rather give in.

HOPE puts a smile on our face
when the heart cannot manage.

HOPE puts our feet on the path
when our eyes cannot see it.

HOPE moves us to act,
when our souls are confused of the direction.

HOPE is a wonderful thing,]
something to be cherished and nurtured,
and something that will refresh us in return.

And it can be found in each of us,
and it can bring light into the darkest of places.
NEVER LOSE HOPE!

HAVE FAITH

Faith is the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase

Faith is believing in something you can’t see or hear, something deep inside that only you understand and only you control.

Faith is trusting in yourself enough to know that no matter how things turn out, you will make the best out of them.

Faith is something that you cannot demand or command, it is a result of commitment to belief.

When you believe in your ability to fulfill your wishes

Never doubt your abilities

Never question your judgments

Never think that any part of you is lacking

Never lose faith in yourself

And you will exceed your own expectation and duty will bring a sense of purpose.

Happy Mother's Day

A mother's love is one of a kind. It begins before her child is born and continues for a lifetime and beyond. The bond we share with her is the first and, in many ways, the most important relationship we will ever experience with anyone. She is the foundation of life and family. We have the beginning with her; nurtured by the warmth of her caring, we thrive and grow in the knowledge that there is someone who loves us unconditionally. Whatever our age or place in her life, her voice is the one we want to hear when we face difficult decisions. When we need comforting, a part of us always longs to run back into the security of her loving embrace. When something wonderful happens, the first person we want to share it with ... is Mom.

Through the years, a mother's heart becomes like a photo album, capturing all the "firsts" in our lives - from our very first smile, first tooth, and first step to all of the major and minor milestones we experience on our way to becoming independent adults. In her eyes, everything that we do is special and unique; she can make even the smallest events seem like great achievements. Whether it's a spelling test that received a gold star, a construction-paper valentine, or a work of art that decorated her refrigerator, she holds on to vacations, holidays, and birthdays that she could always somehow transform into a perfect occasion. Most of all, she is the source of a wisdom that seems to blossom in the hearts as we mature and learn more about life.

In her own remarkable way, a mothers anchors us in our lives and gives us our truest sense of self. Her heart holds a range of emotions that can only grow through a lifetime of caring; the deepest love, the strongest devotion, an occasional frustration and disappointment. Above all, there is within her a profound understanding and acceptance of who we are. She believes we can achieve any dream; she will forgive us almost anything. For all she does, she never asks for anything in return (though sometimes she receives a hug or a dandelion bouquet). But the best way to thank her is just to say... I LOVE YOU MOM.

Past Present and Future

I have been left to think of things past, present and future.

Although I cannot change the past, I can work in the present so that it is not repeated in the future.

I can be humble enough in the present to admit that I have seriously injured people in the past, so that hopefully they can forgive me in the future.

I can forget the past mistakes of others against me and love them both in the present and future.

I can look to the future and pray that the present I am in today is not the past of tomorrow I will regret.
